Bio
Felipe Fontenelle was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where his passion
for music blossomed, deeply influenced by the sounds of Bossa
Nova, MPB, and Jazz. He honed his craft at the Conservatório
Souza Lima in São Paulo and the Jazz School Hot Clube Portugal.
In 2005, Felipe joined the cast of the musical Amigos do Peito,
recording the album for the production and performing in Portugal.
Two years later, he released his self-titled debut album Felipe
Fontenelle under Universal Music.
With his 2012 release, Chill Bill, Felipe explored chill-out music as
both an artist and producer. In Macau, he contributed to the
“Sunny Side Up” project, recording four albums of original
compositions: Tributo a Macau, Pessoa, Rua 25 de Abril, and
Castelos no Ar.
One of his standout singles, “Deus Também Sorri,” created in
collaboration with Antonio Ladeira, was produced in Rio de Janeiro
by Luiz Claudio Ramos, a musician and arranger known for his
work with Chico Buarque.
Felipe’s album M de Memória was produced by Ricardo Cruz,
showcasing his artistic evolution. In 2019, he released the single
“É o Mar, É o Sal, É o Sol,” a duet with Portuguese singer Joana
Espadinha.
Felipe's music has gained radio recognition with the single
“I Think I Love” receiving airplay on Smooth FM. His latest album,
“Não Digas Nada”, features collaborations with Portuguese singer
and composer Luisa Sobral and acclaimed cellist Jaques
Morelenbaum, further establishing his unique voice and style in
the contemporary music scene.
